Talks underway – Arsenal loan exit possible from January until mid-2026

Arsenal are again at the centre of reports from Brazil about Gabriel Jesus, with a new claim suggesting the striker could be heading towards a loan move.

According to club insiders, Palmeiras have opened early talks to bring the forward back on a deal running until June 2026, with an option to buy at the end of the spell.

The report stresses that the move depends on Jesus’ situation in North London. The claim is that the transfer will only stall if the 28-year-old suddenly starts receiving regular minutes under Mikel Arteta. At this stage, that looks unlikely, given the competition created by Viktor Gyökeres and others.

Palmeiras appear confident they can present a sporting project that fits Jesus’ current priorities – and as we have recently covered, if he goes back to Brazil, he only wants Palmeiras.

The striker wants to regain a place in the Brazilian national team and sees consistent game time as essential. That objective has been difficult to achieve at Arsenal due to injury setbacks and the club’s recent signings.

Even so, this remains one version from the Brazilian side. Arsenal’s stance will dictate whether such a loan is realistic, and previous briefings suggested the Gunners would evaluate offers but were not under pressure to make a quick decision.

With Jesus back from a long knee layoff, his next steps could depend on how much space Arteta is willing to give him in the coming weeks.
