Liverpool injury latest and possible return dates including Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong

Liverpool moved back into the top half of the Premier League table by beating West Ham United at the London Stadium this weekend, with Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo scoring.

And ahead of a busy festive schedule, there are not many injury concerns that Arne Slot is having to deal with (though Mohamed Salah will soon head off to AFCON and be unavailable for a period).

Alisson Becker returned from a midweek illness to start against West Ham and Hugo Ekitike came off the bench after he picked up a minor back issue against PSV in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Arne Slot also confirmed post-match that Milos Kerkez was taken off at the London Stadium only because he had cramp, rather than there being an injury concern.

"I have emphasized a lot of times the fact that some players need to adapt to three games a week," the Reds boss said.

"Maybe it is not a surprise that Milos has cramp in the end for two reasons: he is not completely used to that and, second of all, because he puts so much effort in every single time he plays."

Right-backs Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong are likely to return to action around a similar time as each other, potentially a couple of weeks from now. Slot said that they would be out for around three weeks and that was just over one week ago.

Giovanni Leoni, meanwhile, could miss the remainder of the season with an ACL injury. The 18-year-old center-back sustained that long-term injury against Southampton in the League Cup.

Next up for Liverpool is a home game with Sunderland. It then travels to Leeds United next weekend to face Daniel Farke's side under the lights at Elland Road.

"In terms of results, it's, of course, very good," Slot said after his team beat West Ham. "But there were also a few things similar to other games of ours and a few things that were different.

"So, the things that were similar were that, again, we couldn't score our first chances. The good thing was that today for the first time in many, many, many games [that] the first chance of the opponent didn't go in as well.

"The best thing was that it was their only chance and that was after 90 minutes. This happened so many times to us that the first chance the other team gets goes in and then you get a completely different game, as we've seen so many times."

Liverpool.com says: With both right-backs still out, the Reds will have to work out a plan for that position. Joe Gomez was very good against West Ham but he won't start all three games this week.

You would imagine he will play at Leeds and sit the match in the middle out, potentially meaning Dominik Szoboszlai drops back in at full-back, allowing Mohamed Salah to return.
