EXWHEmployee Claims West Ham May Have Found Buyer For£20M Flop

Lazio have emerged as a potential suitor for West Ham goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, according to insider ExWHUEmployee.

Writing on The West Ham Way Patreon (quotes via their website), Ex revealed that the Serie A side are among the teams pursuing the former Leicester City shot-stopper’s signature:

“We understand there is an interest within the club to possibly cash in on Hermansen, despite only signing him this summer. It’s a transfer that isn’t working out and we believe that Italian clubs have shown an interest, including Lazio.”

We shall have to wait and see whether the Italian outfit (managed by former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri) will be able to match the Hammers’ valuation.

Why is Hermansen being sold so soon after his arrival?

West Ham paid £20m to snap up the Denmark international back in August, but his performances were so poor that Graham Potter was forced into dropping him after just 4 games.

Hermansen may have hoped to be given another chance following the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo as head coach but he has stuck with Alphonse Areola.
