2 Arsenal Stars Risk Premier League Ban For Aston Villa, Wolves&Everton Games

Two Arsenal stars are at risk of getting banned from a Premier League game, which could be against Aston Villa, Wolves or Everton.

The Gunners come off a 1-1 draw against Chelsea in which they weren’t able to capitalise on the fact that Chelsea went down to 10 men. Moises Caicedo was sent off early in the game, but Chelsea took the lead afterwards.

Mikel Merino scored for Arsenal to equalise, but the Gunners weren’t able to take the lead, leaving Stamford Bridge with a five point lead at the top of the Premier League table over Manchester City.

They next face Brentford on Wednesday, which could provide some issues, as one Arsenal player is one yellow card away from a suspension, and another player is two yellows away. If they get booked against Brentford, it could cause issues.

Calafiori and Zubimendi risk suspensions

Riccardo Calafiori has accumulated four yellow cards so far this season, so if he were to get booked once more, he would face a one-match ban. If he gets booked against Brentford, he’d miss the Aston Villa game at the weekend.

If he were to get booked against Villa, he’d miss the game against Wolves, and alternatively could miss their following game against Everton on December 20.

Martin Zubimendi is in a similar position, he, like Calafiori, was booked against Chelsea, and the Spaniard is now on three yellow cards. If he were to continue getting booked, he also risks missing games against the likes of Wolves and Everton, and potentially Brighton after that.

How do Arsenal rank in Premier League discipline

In terms of discipline, Arsenal are the second-best team in the Premier League, as they have only accumulated a total of 18 yellow cards this season. They also don’t have a red card as of yet, or any players who have been banned.

Only Manchester United have seen fewer yellow cards than Arsenal as the Red Devils have seen just 15. Chelsea are the ‘dirtiest’ team in the league, accumulating 24 yellow cards and four red cards.
