Liverpool are expected to make an offer for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, according to CaughtOffside.

The 23-year-old midfielder, who has been described as "extraordinary" by Carlo Ancelotti, has made 14 appearances under Xabi Alonso this season, but many of those have been from the substitutes' bench.
As a result, Liverpool are said to believe they can prise him away from the Bernabeu in a 'serious' swoop, and their efforts may even be aided by the fact that Real Madrid could be willing to allow Camavinga to leave.
Some figures at the Bernabeu may be open to cashing in on the highly-rated France international, believing his transfer fee would help them fund future moves and maintain better squad balance.
However, it remains to be seen whether Alonso would give the crucial green light. The head coach reportedly 'deeply respects' Camavinga and continues to play him regularly when he is fit.

This move is a no-brainer and could be the catalyst that saves Liverpool's campaign. Camavinga has, admittedly, not been a regular performer this season, with his compatriot Aurelien Tchouameni often preferred ahead of him, but he remains world-class.
He is also still a crucial member of Alonso's squad, and the fact that he can play across multiple positions means Real would be foolish to allow him to slip out of their grasp, especially for such a meagre fee.
Versatile and a trademark box-to-box player, Camavinga would bring trickery, a good passing range and relentless energy to the spine of Liverpool's new-look side, attributes Slot will surely be crying out for.
Liverpool do appear to be focusing their attention on a new centre-back and winger in January, but should their plans change, Camavinga represents a real opportunity - one they cannot afford to miss out on.
