Everton have a quick turnaround from the Newcastle United defeat as they take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Opta’s supercomputer has made Bournemouth the heavy favourites against Everton, and history certainly agrees with that prediction.
Quite worrying that…
Bournemouth 2-1 Everton (March 2024)
Everton 2-3 Bournemouth (August 2024)
Bournemouth 1-0 Everton (January 2025)
Everton 0-2 AFC Bournemouth (February 2025)
David Moyes noted that Everton have an awful record at Bournemouth in his pre-match press conference, so the Scotsman is under no illusions of the challenge ahead.
Ahead of the clash, we’ve tried to predict Everton’s starting line-up, and it may well include a summer signing who’s had to be very patient this season.

David Moyes finally starts Tyler Dibling vs Bournemouth
With such a quick turnaround, most teams in the Premier League would normally make multiple changes, but Moyes is usually quite conservative.
Bit of pressure on Moyes to bounce back?
Everton are unlikely to make wholesale changes, so the Scotsman will more than likely make more substitutes than usual to combat fatigue.

Although, there will be one change, and that’ll see Tim Iroegbunam drop out after his poor performance on the weekend.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could drop deeper to partner with James Garner, and in comes Tyler Dibling to finally start a game.
Dibling, who has only played 72 minutes of Premier League football, could operate on the right flank with Iliman Ndiaye moving into his more favoured central role.
Everton vs Bournemouth predicted XI
David Moyes has a plan for Tyler Dibling
Speaking to the media earlier this month, Moyes did hint that Dibling will get a lot more opportunities during this festive period, especially with Ndiaye due to depart for AFCON later this month.
“We’re hopefully going to try and get Tyler ready,” the Toffees boss said.
“Nobody’s really talking about how we’re going to lose Ili mid-December, and there’ll be opportunities that arise for players (then) and we’ll see what comes around at that time.
Moyes added: “When you sign players, it’s not easy for it all to fall into place right away, especially when we are in a world where everything’s expected so quick and to be done so early that things should work.
“I think Kiernan (Dewsbury-Hall) and Jack (Grealish) have both fit in really well, but maybe the Premier League experience, being in the Premier League before, playing in the stadiums etc etc makes it that bit easier… Tyler has got that as well, but obviously from a lower level and a younger age.”
So, after a cameo appearance against Newcastle on the weekend, it would make sense for Dibling to start and get more minutes at Bournemouth.
Moyes won’t want Dibling coming in from a standing start when Ndiaye leaves for the tournament, which kicks off on December 21.
