Everton manager David Moyes has stated there are no fresh injury concerns ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Bournemouth.
The Blues head to the South Coast off the back of a humiliating defeat against Newcastle on Saturday.
Confidence was high prior to kick off following the 10-man victory at Old Trafford. We really should have known better.
Newcastle hadn’t won away in the league since April, but went a goal up inside the opening minute.
The Toffees were three down by half-time and a fourth early in the second half prompted a mass exodus of Hill Dickinson.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored a wonderfully-taken goal, though it was little more than consolation.
Moyes has confirmed that some players were carrying a few knocks after the win at Manchester United.
However, with an ever-growing list of unavailable players, the Everton boss states that there are no new casualties.
“We’re looking okay,” said the Blues boss. “But we went into Newcastle carrying a couple of boys with injuries from the game in midweek.
“They played. Possibly, on another day, if we’d have had other players available, we might have altered that. But no excuses from that point of view.
“We had a brilliant win on Monday night [at Manchester United]. We probably went into Saturday still carrying a bit into the game, as well. We were still carrying a couple of small injuries.”
IT’S BEEN AN ‘EVERTON THAT’ KIND OF WEEK
We go into tomorrow’s game just a point behind Bournemouth, though our goal difference has taken a hit.
Bournemouth are now four games without a win, including three defeats. Indeed, the Cherries blew a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
Both sides go into the game looking to recover from a disappointing weekend. Our record at the Vitality Stadium leaves a lot to be desired.
Any optimism I felt after Old Trafford has been well and truly knocked out of me. I’ll be pleased with a draw.
