Liverpool moved up to eighth in the Premier League table after a win over West Ham United at the London Stadium this weekend, thanks to goals from Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo.

Ahead of a busy festive schedule, Arne Slot has relatively few injury concerns, although Mohamed Salah will soon leave for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and be unavailable for a period.

Alisson Becker returned from a midweek illness to start against West Ham, while Hugo Ekitike came off the bench despite a minor back issue he picked up in the Champions League clash with PSV.

Slot also confirmed after the match that Milos Kerkez was substituted at the London Stadium due to cramp rather than any injury concern.

“I have emphasized a lot of times the fact that some players need to adapt to three games a week,” the Reds boss said.

“Maybe it is not a surprise that Milos has cramp in the end for two reasons: he is not completely used to that and, second of all, because he puts so much effort in every single time he plays.”

Jeremie Frimpong is still on the sidelines after he was forced off during the early stages of Liverpool’s Champions League win over Eintracht Frankfurt in October.

The Netherlands international has had a stop-start start to life with the Reds, and his absence has led to makeshift options being deployed at right-back.

“Jeremie is out just as long,” Slot said of Frimpong on November 21.

“He’s not probably going to be available in the upcoming two or three weeks as well. It’s going to be interesting who all of you want to see as a right full-back.”

According to the Daily Mail, Frimpong has returned to training and is hoping to be back in around a fortnight, a timeline similar to that of Conor Bradley.

Bradley has not featured for Liverpool since the 3-0 defeat at Manchester City on November 9.

The 22-year-old sustained a muscle injury during the first half of Northern Ireland’s World Cup qualifying win over Luxembourg eight days later.
