Luka Dončić and the Los Angeles Lakers extended their winning streak to seven games with a 133-121 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night.
The 26-year-old phenom led his team to another victory with 23-year veteran LeBron James sidelined once again as he nursed a foot injury, pouring in another 34 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists while shooting 12-for-14 from the free throw line in 35 minutes of work.
It was just another day at the office for the 5-time All-NBA First Team selection, but his incredible performance and Los Angeles' winning ways led to him being recognized by the league for his continued excellence.
"Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Dončić has been named NBA Western Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday, Nov. 24, through Sunday, Nov. 30," the franchise shared Monday afternoon.
"The honor marks his first as a Laker and the 15th weekly award of his career."
"Dončić led the Purple and Gold to a 3-0 week, delivering one 40-point outing and two 30-point performances, all double-doubles."
After averaging 37.3 points, 10.3 assists and 8.7 rebounds while leading the Lakers to a 3-0 week alongside rising superstar Austin Reaves, Dončić was able to capture his 15th Western Conference Player of the Week award.
In the Eastern Conference, it was Dončić's former Dallas Mavericks teammate and 2-time All-Star New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson who received the honor.
For the 2025-26 season, Dončić has contributed a league-leading 35.1 points, 9.2 assists, 8.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals on a strong 62.3% true shooting percentage through 15 games, helping to position the Lakers as the West's current No. 2 seed with a 15-4 record.
Though the future Hall of Famer James has already missed 15 of Los Angeles' first 19 games, Dončić and Reaves' offensive brilliance have kept the Lakers more than just afloat, but squarely in the mix as true title contenders in a stacked Western Conference.
From an individual standpoint, Dončić has further solidified his case to come away with the MVP trophy come season's end.
