Rodrygo has endured a forgettable season thus far with Real Madrid and, after summer links with the likes of Arsenal, has now gone 30 games without scoring - an unwanted club record

Rodrygo was heavily linked with a summer move to Arsenal as his role at Real Madrid was called into question - and his struggles have only continued with Sunday marking the 30th game he's played without scoring.
The Brazilian was previously a huge part of Los Blancos' frontline, famously scoring twice in a comeback win over Manchester City, but those goals have very much dried up. Rodrygo's game time has dropped off and several of his opportunities have come from the bench.
But he appears a player lacking in confidence and Sunday's surprise draw at Girona was the 30th time in succession he'd ran out but failed to hit the back of the net - an unwanted club record for a forward.
All in all the 24-year-old has now gone a staggering 1,339 minutes without a goal. The last time he found the back of the net was in early march when he scored against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. His last goal in La Liga was against Las Palmas on January 19.
It is certainly not putting Rodrygo in the shop window with the frontman's future far from certain. Kylian Mbappe arrived last season whilst Vinicius Jnr is another leading light for Xabi Alonso's side in the final third.
Arsenal were linked with a move for the Brazilian, but they added the likes of Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze and are unlikely to spend big on another player before the summer. Manchester City too were linked with Rodrygo, but they're now considering a move for Antoine Semenyo.
Back in the summer the Real star dismissed talk of leaving the Bernabeu unless he was specifically told that his time at the club was up. Rodrygo has only started three of the team's 14 La Liga games. That has been a similar theme, starting just once in the Champions League.

The forward previously claimed: "I've always said: 'As long as Real Madrid wants me, I'll be here.' If one day Real Madrid says to me: 'Rodry, find a team,' I'll say 'OK.' But that hasn't happened. The club has always told me they count on me. And when I had a problem, they were there for me. People speculated because I kept quiet.
"But I knew what I was going to do this season with Real Madrid and that I'm going to be focused on giving my best. It hasn't bothered me. I was calm, and here I am… as always. This is my seventh season."
