The Golden State Warriors are waiving forward Jackson Rowe, according to a [report by Marc Stein](https://x.com/TheSteinLine/status/1995619789579169857?s=20) of The SteinLine. Rowe has been a fringe member of the Warriors organization in recent years, primarily playing with the Santa Cruz Warriors alongside some brief NBA stints. However, Rowe has never quite earned the trust of Dubs head coach Steve Kerr like his fellow veteran two-way player Pat Spencer. So, Golden State will apparently be swapping Rowe out for a different two-way player soon.

The Warriors signed Rowe to a two-way contract last January after he averaged 16.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.4 steals per game while making 36.4% of his three-point attempts during the G-League regular season. He appeared in six NBA games with the Warriors, debuting at 28, and averaging 3.7 points and 1.8 rebounds in 8.7 minutes per game on 47.1% shooting from the field (30.0% from three).

Rowe was a four-year starter at Cal State Fullerton from 2016-2020, recording 12.1 points, 7.3 rebounds on .575/.373/.709 shooting across 111 games. He was also the 2017 Big West Freshman of the year and a four-time All-Conference player (two-time honorable mention and two-time second-team). After graduating, he traveled the world playing in French, Swedish, Canadian, and German leagues before landing in the G-League in 2023. He became the 13th player in Cal State Fullerton history to play in the NBA.

It’s unclear who will replace Rowe beside Pat Spencer and [struggling rookie](/general/105703/red-flags-abound-warriors-other-rookie-second-round-pick) Alex Toohey as the Warriors two-way players. However, given the current structure of the roster, it would stand to reason that Golden State would be interesting in adding another big man to help them manage an unbalanced roster currently skewed toward guards.
