Arsenal are back in Premier League action on Wednesday as Mikel Arteta’s side look to keep their momentum going

The Gunners levelled things up through Mikel Merino but weren’t able to find a winner in the end and had to settle for a point. Mikel Arteta’s side remain top of the Premier League table and are five points clear of Manchester City in 2nd. They are back in action on Wednesday with a home clash against Brentford.

Brentford injury latest ahead of Arsenal trip

Starting with the visitors, Brentford pair Antoni Milambo and Fabio Carvalho are out with long-term knee injuries. The duo aren’t expected back until next season which is a blow. The latter joined his current club in 2024 from Liverpool but hasn’t been able to make the impact he would have wanted to since then. Regarding his latest setback, his boss Keith Andrews said: “Fabio had his operation yesterday, which went well. We’re delighted about that, and we’ll look after him on his journey back to fitness”

Midfielder Josh DaSilva is still on the road to recovery from an ACL injury. The Bees won’t rush him back in and will be patient with the ex-Arsenal man. His most likely return timeframe is the start of 2026. Key striker Thiago was seen limping towards the end of their game against Burnley last time out. However, there is no indication that he has picked up anything serious and as things stand, he will be in contention to lead the line again against the Gunners as he looks to keep his impression form going in front of goal.

Arsenal injury update ahead of Brentford clash

Arsenal are sweating over the availability of key centre-back William Saliba after he sat out against Chelsea after sustaining a knock in training. He will need to be checked on ahead of their clash against Brentford. Arteta has said: “I think he has another test tomorrow to see the extent of that feeling, that sensation that he had, then we'll know more.”

The Gunners are also without defender Gabriel and he remains sidelined until later this month. They won’t want to take any risks with him to avoid making his situation worse. Cristhian Mosquera and Piero Hincapie played instead of Saliba and Gabriel in their last outing.

Arsenal need to assess Leandro Trossard before they take on the Bees. He was forced off against Bayern Munich in the Champions League last week and it remains to be seen at this stage whether he will be fit. The Belgium international has proved to be a useful player to call upon at the top end of the pitch over recent times.

Gabriel Jesus is back along with Martin Odegaard. Kai Havertz is still unable to play though due to his knee problem. He appears to be making good progress though and Arteta said last week: “Not yet, but they are getting closer and closer, so we are very positive with both of them. The good thing is that now we find another option.”

Doubts - Saliba, Trossard

Out - Milambo, Carvalho, DaSilva, Gabriel, Havertz
