Bucks’ Kevin Porter Jr. breaks 25+ year drought with rare milestone last achieved by Ray Allen

It isback to the drawing board for the Milwaukee Bucks, who have just suffered an embarrassing129-126 road loss at the hands of the Washington Wizardsat Capital One Arena in Washington on Monday night.

Despite the loss, Milwaukee had at least one encouraging takeaway from the contest, as Kevin Porter Jr. put together an impressive performance. The former USC Trojans star was a bright spot for the Bucks, who got 30 points on 12-for-15 shooting from him. He also drained five 3-pointers, dished out five assists, grabbed four rebounds and recorded three steals in 30 minutes of action.

With his performance, Porter became just the first Milwaukee player this century to author a particular stat line.

KPJ vs Washington:

30 PTS

5 AST

3 STL

12-15 FG

The first Buck with those numbers on 80% shooting since Ray Allen in 1999.

However, Porter, who signed a two-year contract with the team in the summer, couldn’t finish the contest. He was taken off the court in the fourth quarter due to back spasms. His status will be worth monitoring, with Milwaukee scheduled to play the Detroit Pistons at Fiserv Forum this coming Wednesday. The Wizards game on Monday was just the second for Porter since returning from a long absence because of an ankle injury he suffered in a season-opening win against Washington.

Meanwhile, Giannis Antetokounmpo added 26 points for Milwaukee, which fell to 9-13 overall.
