Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton has praised Leeds United coach Daniel Farke for his changes against Manchester City as he prepares to face Chelsea in a crucial game.
Daniel Farke can take heart from Leeds’ defeat against Man City, despite his side falling to a fourth consecutive Premier League defeat at the Etihad.
The introduction of Dominic Calvert-Lewin helped spark Leeds into life as they fell agonisingly short of a famous comeback.
However, despite Leeds’ improved performance, Farke now has two games to save his job at Leeds, as reports suggest the 49ers are running out of patience after a poor run of form.
Now, former Chelsea forward Chris Sutton has praised Farke for inspiring his side against City. However, he delivered a prediction the Leeds boss will not like, as the storm clouds gather at Elland Road.

Chris Sutton praises Daniel Farke ahead of Leeds United v Chelsea
Speaking to BBC Sport, Sutton admitted he was surprised by the changes that Farke made to get his team back into the game against Man City.
However, Leeds have only beaten Chelsea once since 2022, and Sutton believes the away side will claim all three points again to increase the pressure on the under-fire Leeds boss.

Sutton said: “Leeds lumped it in the second half against Manchester City, and it almost got them a point.
“They were lucky to still be in the game at half-time, but fair play to Daniel Farke for making the substitutes and changing the system, because he has been accused of not being proactive enough during games.
He added: “I don’t think it will be as rough and tumble as it was when these teams met in the 1970 FA Cup final, but I’m going for the same outcome, which is a Chelsea win. 2-0.”

Daniel Farke’s last Premier League game v Chelsea ended in disaster
Despite Leeds’ improvement in the closing stages at the Etihad, Farke will not be pleased to see Chelsea arriving at Elland Road as he looks to save his job.
Not only are Chelsea one of the leading contenders for the Premier League title, but Farke also has a terrible personal record against the men from West London.
Farke has managed against Chelsea six times, claiming just one draw and suffering five defeats, including a 3-2 FA Cup defeat with Leeds.

His last Premier League game with Norwich was one to forget, as his side slipped to a 7-0 defeat in October 2021, with Mason Mount claiming a hat-trick.
If Farke suffers the same fate in this game, the 49ers would surely be forced to pull their timeline forward ahead of the Liverpool game.
