Daniel Farke has warning for Chelsea despite Leeds boss backing them to challenge for the title

Leeds United’s Premier League clash against Chelsea on Wednesday has the potential to produce a lot of goals.

This season, Chelsea have been one of the best attacking teams in the country. They were able to score in their 1-1 draw with Arsenal despite going down to 10 men and also put three past Barcelona the game prior to that.

Cole Palmer has also returned to the fold after a couple of injuries, making the Blues even more of a threat.

Daniel Farke and Leeds ready to ‘go for it’ against Chelsea

Leeds manager Daniel Farke sees Chelsea as title contenders, impressed with how they competed against Arsenal with just 10 men.

Nevertheless, the German has warned the Club World Cup winners that Leeds are still going to “go for it” on Wednesday, suggesting that a very open game could await spectators.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, which has been relayed by Leeds Live, Farke said: “One of the best sides in the country and in Europe and the world. Won the Club World Cup in the summer. Unbeaten in a long while. Even with 10 men vs Arsenal, pretty impressive and wouldn’t say they were the [weaker] side.

“We need to be brave to play aggressive football. We can’t play each and every opponent out of the park. But we will go for it. Chelsea have a good chance to go for the title.”

Fighting for his job with Leeds in the relegation zone right now, Chelsea are not ideal opponents for Farke.

Even so, it looks like the Whites are really going to try to attack Chelsea and take the game to Enzo Maresca’s side.

Leeds vs Chelsea prediction

Knowing Chelsea, after all the hard work they put in against Arsenal and Barcelona, it would not be a surprise if they dropped points at Elland Road.

With that being said, they have given supporters enough reason to be positive going into this fixture.

The Conference League holders are in great form, while Leeds are struggling. Therefore, The Chelsea Chronicle is going to go with a 3-1 away win!

Anything other than a victory, and you can probably dismiss the idea of the Blues being title challengers. It is the sort of game that they need to win if they want to be in the conversation with Arsenal and Manchester City at the end of the season.
