Everton’s squad depth is going to be tested over the coming weeks as injuries, suspensions and international duty will deplete the options at hand.
David Moyes has some interesting decisions ahead of him for Everton’s trip to the south coast to face Bournemouth.
One player who will be expected to be named in the starting XI is Iliman Ndiaye, who will soon be jetting off for the Africa Cup of Nations.
On the back of his move in the summer, Moyes has shared why Tyler Dibling has barely played for Everton.
However, the competition for places will decrease when Ndiaye leaves for his international duty with Senegal.
But there may be another reason behind Dibling’s lack of minutes, which Tim Iroegbunam has now shared.

Why Tyler Dibling may have struggled to settle at Everton
Alan Stubbs expects Dibling to play a big role for Everton towards the end of the month as Ndiaye’s replacement.
The 19-year-old made a big-money move from Southampton over the summer, but he has only played a mere 72 minutes of Premier League football this term.

Speaking to Everton News columnist Alan Myers on The Added Time Podcast, Iroegbunam has admitted Dibling has been rather quiet since moving to Finch Farm.
Just think who Everton could have signed instead for £40m…

“The quietest? Probably Tyler, probably Tyler,” Iroegbunam replied to Myers when asked who the quietest player was at the club.
“Obviously, like everyone like their best to like involve him and stuff. And obviously, he’s settling in, but it’s just going to take time to just get more out of him, but that’s everyone’s different, I guess.”
Tony Hibbert has urged Dibling to remain patient at Everton and his chance will eventually come under Moyes.
It has to be remembered that Dibling is still young and fairly inexperienced in the English top flight.
Confidence will come, but he may need minutes on the pitch for that to develop.
Tyler Dibling’s development could depend on Jack Grealish’s future
Everton have moved Ndiaye over to the right wing on the back of Jack Grealish signing for the season on loan.
It is understood that Everton need further talks over Grealish’s buy option, if they are going to make his deal permanent over the summer.
Since Tyler Dibling’s last Premier League goal, Everton have had 15 players find the back of the net. Can you name them?
Tyler Dibling’s last Premier League goal came back on 29 December, 2024. He scored in a 2-1 loss for Southampton away to Crystal Palace.

Should Grealish return to City, then Ndiaye could possibly move back along to the left wing and open up the spot for Dibling.
The issue is that Dibling more than likely won’t want to have sat on the bench for most of the season waiting for this answer.
Moyes expects to use Dibling more this month and it will be on the 19-year-old to show his potential when finally given an opportunity.
