Everton defender Vitaliy Mykolenko has revealed his dream of winning the Premier League… with the Toffees.
Sport UA cover comments from the Everton defender today. He admits in his dreams, Everton would be fighting for the title this season.
The Ukrainian has been a regular again for Everton under David Moyes after battling back from an injury at the beginning of the campaign.
The Toffees have loftier ambitions after a busy summer reshaping the squad that Moyes inherited from Sean Dyche back in January. He guided Everton to safety comfortably last season and has spoken regularly about a desire to get them into Europe once again.
That remains a distinct possibility after 13 games, despite Everton sitting in 14th. They’re currently just four points outside the top five thanks to the bunching currently taking place in the middle of the table. That’s despite a heavy 4-1 loss to Newcastle on Saturday.
The top four sit just two further points away.

While Moyes has his eyes on a potential European place, it seems Mykolenko has even loftier dreams.
“In my dreams, probably for first place,” he said when asked about what he’d like to fight for this season.
“And in reality – for the European cups. At the moment, it is realistic – to fight for the European cups, if we win matches where we have to win. We have a good chance to be in the European cups. In my dreams, of course, for the championship. I will say this.”
Mykolenko recently told the Ukraine media that he expects Everton renewal talks soon.
