Everton were able to secure all three points with a 1-0 victory on the road against Bournemouth on Tuesday evening.
David Moyes will have demanded his players to make things right after the fans endured a dismal display at the weekend.
The Toffees responded in style in what was an impressive victory against an in-form Bournemouth outfit.
Jack Grealish proved the hero for Everton on the night, with his deflected shot from outside the box leaving Djordje Petrovic flat-footed.
Everton ended the night in ninth position in the Premier League table and with confidence restored following the loss at the weekend.

Jordan Pickford – 6
A quiet evening for the England number one. He dealt with the couple of shots that landed on target, though.

James Garner – 6
A clean sheet was all that mattered and he did face a difficult task up against Antoine Semenyo.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
James Garner has been praised for his versatility and it was a solid showing.
James Tarkowski – 7
Kept Bournemouth to very few opportunities on goal. Everton cannot afford to lose any more defenders.
Jake O’Brien – 7
With Michael Keane suffering a fresh injury issue, Jake O’Brien returned to his natural position and looked right at home in the middle.
Vitalii Mykolenko – 7
Was up and down the left side and whipped in a few crosses, but no one was on the end to head them home.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – 7
Played in the deeper role alongside Tim Iroegbunam and his calmness on the ball was evident.
Everton may have a number of midfield issues, but Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is proving to be one of Moyes’ most reliable options.
Tim Iroegbunam – 7
Considering he picked up a yellow card early on in the game for a clobbering challenge on Semenyo, Iroegbunam showed a lot of maturity to see out the game.
Iliman Ndiaye – 5
Did not look himself at all. There may be some concerns over how many minutes Iliman Ndiaye has already played this season.
Perhaps it is time for Tyler Dibling to be given his chance.
Carlos Alcaraz – 7
Thrown into the starting XI and was everywhere on the pitch! Moyes said Carlos Alcaraz was being considered amid the injury crisis and he put in a solid showing on the south coast.
Everton’s unsung hero on the night!
Jack Grealish – 8
The star man! The match winner! Moyes asked Grealish to score more goals and he provided just that against the Cherries.
Grealish threatened throughout the game, but it was not until the 78th minute until he was able to find that moment of quality.
Thierno Barry – 6
The effort was certainly there, but that elusive goal still has not come in the Premier League for Thierno Barry.
STAT: Thierno Barry registered his first Everton shot on target in 10 hours vs Bournemouth.
