Everton fans finally saw their team win away at Bournemouth in the Premier League for the first time in nine attempts on Tuesday evening.
Jack Grealish’s late deflected effort saw him sprint over to Everton’s travelling support with glee, and David Moyes’ side momentarily went as high as ninth in the Premier League table to banish the demons of their loss to Newcastle United on Saturday evening.
It made the long trip down to the south coast worth every penny for Everton fans, who had been starved of success at the Vitality Stadium in each of their last eight visits in the league.
And fans brought on the festive cheer with their own rendition of the Christmas classic ‘Jingle Bells’ to spark a superb start to December for the club.

Everton fans broke into festive delight after long-haul Bournemouth trip ended in victory
After the full-time whistle had blown, Everton fans took the Christmas period into their own hands.
As fans flooded out of the Vitality Stadium after a much-deserved win, the travelling contingent chanted: “Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way… oh what fun it is to see Everton win away”, hopefully kick-starting a solid run of form for the coming months ahead.

The same feeling was belted out at Nottingham Forest two years ago, when Dwight McNeil’s strike at the City Ground got the Toffees on the route to a four-game winning streak in their quest for survival under Sean Dyche after the famous 10-point deduction.

And, if David Moyes can do the same this season, it will see the Toffees on 30 points after just 17 games, which would certainly put them in the race for European qualification.
Everton could be on for their first top-half Premier League finish in five years
Everton were the better side against Bournemouth on the night, and it went to show that Saturday’s outing against Newcastle was just a blip in the road.
The win means it’s now three victories from four in the league for David Moyes, having downed Fulham and Manchester United either side of the international break.
What did you make of Grealish’s performance tonight?

Although the likes of Michael Keane, Seamus Coleman, Idrissa Gana Gueye and Jarrad Branthwaite were missing, a spirited performance proved that Everton could be en route to their best league finish for five years, where they finished 10th under Carlo Ancelotti.
And with similar results against the likes of Nottingham Forest – who they play twice this month – and Burnley, that could come to fruition.
