Following a four-game road trip, the San Antonio Spurs return home to face the Memphis Grizzlies. San Antonio heads out on the road for another extended trip after tonight’s contest. The Spurs enter the game with a record of 13-6, while the Grizzlies stand at 9-12.

The Silver and Black are coming off of a loss in Minnesota against the Timberwolves. While they kept the game close during the first three periods, the Timberwolves got it going in the fourth quarter to easily dispatch the Spurs (see the Final Grades).

The Spurs are currently riding a three-game winning streak at home. On the season, San Antonio is 8-2 at the Frost Bank Center, which represents the second best home record in the Western Conference.

While Memphis’ record isn’t intimidating, the Grizzlies have played well recently. They’ve won three straight games, all of which were on the road. The Grizzlies have actually won four consecutive road games, with their last road loss coming in San Antonio back on November 18th.

San Antonio Spurs Injury Update

The injury report for the Spurs remains the same. While no one has been added to the report, Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle and Jordan McLaughlin remain on the sidelines.

Wembanyama and Castle have moved to working out on the court. It’s expected that Castle will be able to return sooner than Wembanyama, however there is strong hope that the Frenchman will be back prior to Christmas.

A possible return date for McLaughlin isn’t clear at this point.

San Antonio Spurs Starting Lineup

Expect head coach Mitch Johnson to keep his same starting five. That unit consists of Luke Kornet at center, Harrison Barnes at power forward, Julian Champagnie at small forward, Devin Vassell at shooting guard and De’Aaron Fox at point guard.

The two main scorers off the bench recently have been Keldon Johnson and Dylan Harper. Harper, the second overall selection in the 2025 NBA Draft, is coming off a game in which he had 17 points in 20 minutes. The rookie hit 8-of-12 shots from the field and didn’t turn the ball over.

Betting Guide: Spurs vs. Grizzlies

The Spurs are favored by 5.5 points and the over/under is 232.5 points. While the Spurs are without Wembanyama and Castle, the Grizzlies are without Ja Morant. Since San Antonio is at home, put your money on the Spurs winning by six or more points. They’ve played well at home and Fox and co. have been able to excel even without the short-handed lineup.
