Fabrizio Romano names the Premier League team that might sign Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea

Chelsea will be looking for a permanent solution to the Nicolas Jackson saga at the end of the season when his loan at Bayern Munich comes to an end.

It is already impossible for Bayern to trigger the obligation in Jackson’s loan, with him already not able to make enough starts that would see Chelsea earn around double what they paid for the striker.

Jackson does not want to return to Chelsea though, with the club likely to have to return to the drawing board to find a new suitor for him.

What made Chelsea vs Leeds such a fierce rivalry?

“Part of the rivalry was definitely the north-south divide. We were the gritty Yorkshire team and they were the fashionable boys from the Kings Road. Both teams were full of terrific players and a few feisty characters. It got personal during the games.”

Eddie Gray (Leeds 1966-83)

“We knew they were aggrieved. After that it turned into a great rivalry between two very good sides. There was no love lost and the the best example I can give of that was the 1970 FA Cup final – especially the first game, which was one of the fiercest matches I have played in. Nobody held back.”

Ron ‘Chopper’ Harris (Chelsea 1962-80)

“They didn’t intimidate us. That’s why they hated us. There was no other club on the planet we would enjoy beating so much.”

Peter Osgood (Chelsea 1964-74)

His time at Stamford Bridge has proven that the Senegal international has the capacity to deliver in the Premier League if any English sides fancy taking a punt on a new striker.

One of the most likely sides on paper would be Aston Villa, with their manager, Unai Emery, previously working with Jackson at Villarreal.

Fabrizio Romano has named Villa as a side who might be interested in a deal for the Chelsea loanee at the end of the season.

He said on his YouTube: “It might be in England, Aston Villa, Bayern, of course. Let’s see what they decide to do for Jackson. There will be a lot of interest. But at the moment, what I can guarantee Aston Villa wanted him last summer.

“That’s why I mentioned Aston Villa. Unai Emery knows the player well from Villarreal. But what I want to tell you is that between Jackson and Chelsea, the story is considered over.”

Future Chelsea striker tipped to exceed Jackson

Chelsea have a number of young strikers waiting in the wings to make an impact in the future. Emanuel Emegha and Dastan Satpaev are set to join next summer.

The Dutchman has enjoyed another strong season so far for Strasbourg, scoring in the Conference League last week against favourites Crystal Palace.

Satpaev is likely to make his mark a few years down the line, however is already being tipped for big things.

Satpaev has even been tipped to be better than Jackson in just a couple of years’ time, and is off the mark in the Champions League in his debut campaign.
