Everton defender Vitaliy Mykolenko has admitted he gets a kick out of Iliman Ndiaye, even when he beats him in training.
Tribuna cover comments from the Everton defender. He’s full of praise for the Everton star, insisting Ndiaye is among the best in the Premier League.
The Senegalese winger has continued to impress for Everton this season, building on his impressive debut campaign at Goodison Park. He arrived last summer in a €20m deal from Marseille.
He has struggled in a sole year in France following a move from Sheffield United, where he had previously caught Everton’s eye. But he quickly settled at Goodison Park, establishing himself as a key player under Sean Dyche before long.
That’s continued under David Moyes, despite being pushed out to the right to accommodate Jack Grealish.
His performances have not gone unnoticed. Indeed, a report on Saturday stated that Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City all have the Everton star on their radar.
Such interest would, seemingly, not surprise Mykolenko. He knows that Everton have a gem on their hands, from personal experience playing alongside and against him.
“To be honest, I only played for Dynamo, the Ukrainian national team and Everton, but I played against players in the Premier League and I have not seen such a technical person, with such a first touch and dribbling as Iliman,” he said.
“He is simply a top football player, a top person. Honestly, I get a kick out of it even when he beats me, because sometimes it just happens that he just gets around like a chip in training. I hope he will only get better.”
