Marcus Rashford has fired a clear message on social media after the out-on-loan Manchester United ace helped Barcelona secure another important win. Rashford was in action for Barca as they claimed a 3-1 victory over rivals Atletico Madrid in La Liga on Tuesday night.
The United star was named on the bench by Barcelona manager Hansi Flick before being introduced in the 67th minute to replace Robert Lewandowski, with the score 2-1 at the time, before Ferran Torres added a third for the home side at the Camp Nou.
Despite not being included in the starting line-up, Rashford still expressed his delight at playing a role in helping Barcelona claim a vital three points in La Liga.
"Important win and great team performance," wrote Rashford on Instagram.
His latest cameo from the bench was Rashford's 19th in all competitions this season, including a 14th in La Liga as the Catalan giants moved four points clear at the top of the table ahead of arch rivals Real Madrid.
Rashford's message comes just a few weeks before the January transfer window opens, and ongoing speculation about the United loanee's future is likely to ramp up ahead of the New Year.
United sanctioned Rashford's exit during the summer transfer window - after Rashford had expressed a desire to leave Old Trafford before the start of the new Premier League season.
Rashford may have only left United on a loan deal this summer, but Barca have the option of making the transfer permanent at the end of the campaign for a fee worth €30million (£26million).
It was possible for Rashford to have joined Aston Villa on a permanent agreement this summer following his loan spell in the second half of last season.
However, Villa opted not to activate their £40million option, which led to Rashford joining Barcelona.
The England international has contributed six goals and nine assists for Barcelona since completing the switch to Spain, with the La Liga giants facing an important decision over Rashford's future in the weeks and months ahead.
The next opportunity for Rashford to add to his goal and assists will be when Barcelona play Real Betis in La Liga - this weekend - with Real Madrid also in action against Athletic Club on Wednesday night for their game-in-hand.
