Liverpool vs Sunderland LIVE early team news, score predictions and predicted line-ups

Liverpool team news

Liverpool remains without Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong, which poses the question over who will start at right-back against Sunderland.

Joe Gomez was as dependable as ever against West Ham at the weekend, but he is managing a knee issue, and it's not clear whether he will be capable of starting twice in four days – particularly considering Sunday's game was his first Premier League start of 2025.

Addressing Bradley's and Frimpong's injury situations on Tuesday, Slot said:

“Conor got into a training session yesterday for the first time, team training. Not everything 100 per cent yet, we had to manage that a little bit, so don’t get your hopes up too soon, too fast. But the good thing is that he does certain parts with the group already.

“And we expect the same with Jeremie next week, so the two of them come back but unfortunately we play a lot of games… so Jeremie, if he is training with us next week, he will miss out on three more games, for example. But the two of them are coming back.

“I hope he [Bradley] will be available for Leeds.”

Giovanni Leoni, who is a long-term absentee, is Liverpool's only other missing player.
