Man City striker Erling Haaland became the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League goals against Fulham, but there was also another crazy statistic that emerged after last night’s game.
Manchester City came out on top in a thrilling contest at Craven Cottage, winning 5-4.
Despite the win, Pep Guardiola likely won’t have been too happy with City’s second-half performance.
It didn’t need to be that close with City 5-1 up at one stage, and clearly City still need to improve a lot defensively.
But the most important thing was to win and keep the pressure on Arsenal, who play tonight.
Last night, amid the chaos, history was made as Erling Haaland became the fastest player ever to reach 100 Premier League goals.

Haaland has now cemented himself as a Premier League legend.
To have scored 100 goals in just 111 games is a phenomenal achievement, and he will go down as one of the greatest centre-forwards this league has ever seen.
The Norwegian’s prowess in front of goal is undisputed.

But perhaps the one thing that comes close to his goalscoring, is Haaland’s ability to stay onside.
Last night there was a real rarity, with Haaland getting caught offside. This was the first time he had been caught offside in a Premier League away match in over two years.
Haaland hates being offside
This is truly a remarkable feat, because it can be so easy to be offside.
To have gone over two years without getting flagged once in away matches really does show how hard Haaland works behind the scenes on timing his runs.
Haaland has spoken previously about how he hates being caught offside, saying (via Guardian): “I’m never offside – come on. From when I came to City I’ve been offside 18 times. So 18 times in three and a half years is OK.
Guardiola was delighted to see Haaland become the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League goals
“Congratulations. It is incredible. What can I say? Today (vs Fulham) he was outstanding. He was unbelievable and got a fantastic goal.”

“I hate to be offside. If you are offside now with VAR, there’s no chance [of not being caught]. VAR helped me even more because you get the decision as simple as that.
“When you barely go offside, there’s a good chance that if there’s an offside situation, most likely I will not be offside.”
Haaland truly is an outstanding footballer, and definitely someone wanting to become a top striker should look up to.
