Daniel Farke could be facing his last few days as Leeds United manager if he fails to get results against Chelsea and Liverpool, and the list of potential replacements is beginning to increase.
The German has watched Leeds lose six of their last seven Premier League games and that has got to change if firstly, Leeds are to avoid relegation and secondly, if Farke wants to keep his job at Elland Road.
The 49ers are spoilt for choice… but who would you pick as Leeds United’s next manager?

A huge game awaits. Chelsea at home, under the lights on Wednesday night. Chelsea are firm favourites, but if Leeds can produce the second-half display they conjured up at Man City, anything can happen.
But if Leeds fans are realistic, they know Farke’s time at Leeds could come to an end this week. The list of potential replacements is growing and one option touted with the Leeds job is Hungarian boss Zsolt Low.

What Ralph Hasenhuttl said about ‘fantastic’ Zsolt Low
Reports say that Low has been offered to Leeds as a possible candidate to replace Farke. The Hungarian icon has only ever been a manager for eight matches on a short-term basis while in charge at Leipzig.
But his CV is sparkling, having largely worked as Thomas Tuchel’s assistant at Bayern Munich, PSG and Chelsea. Before his work with Tuchel, Low worked as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s assistant with RB Leipzig.
In 2021, The Mail quoted Hasenhuttl as saying: “Zsolt is a fantastic coach and person. In the second year, before the end of the season, I knew he was going to leave to follow Thomas to Paris Saint-Germain.

“He wanted to work under a new manager whose football was a little bit more possession-oriented, to learn new things. We had, in Leipzig at that moment, quite a one-dimensional way of playing football.
“Or, rather, the guidelines we followed were very one-dimensional. Thomas knew him from before (Mainz) and had seen how his football coaching had developed,” Hasenhuttl added, on Low’s exit.
Pundits and journalists pile the pressure on Daniel Farke…
“I think it could turn ugly quite quickly with the fans. They have a tough run now.”
Chris Sutton
“If he changes his style and goes more forward-thinking, that would be a start.”
Ally McCoist
“I just think you’re dangerously close to that point [sacking Farke]. Very dangerously close to that point because of what we’ve seen.”

Which other managers have been linked with replacing Farke?
Low has been touted to Leeds by RedBull, but there is no indication that Leeds are interested in the Hungarian or are considering him. However, other managers have been linked with the Leeds hotseat.
Brendan Rodgers and Ange Postecoglou are among the contenders to take over from Farke. Rodgers is even said to be interested in taking on the Leeds job, after resigning from his post as Celtic manager.
Bo Svensson has also been linked, a former teammate of Low’s in the Bundesliga. But Svensson is in no rush to pick his next job and is not particularly interested in replacing Farke at Elland Road at the moment.
The bookies suggest the likes of Gary O’Neil, Marco Rose and even Steven Gerrard, but given the pressure on Farke, there has been little chat about his possible replacement. The 49ers will have a succession plan.
