Chelsea can steal transfer at death after statement – Manchester United also in picture

Manchester United and Chelsea have been provided a fresh opportunity to sign Be Sport Academy youngster Mouhamed Dabo.

That’s according to Africa Foot, who report the 17-year-old has had trials with the Red Devils, United, Chelsea and Barcelona. Manchester United’s interest isn’t new.

Back in September, the same outlet stated Ruben Amorim’s side are very close to signing the midfielder. They also reported the youngster had impressed Manchester United officials.

On Monday, Croatian side NK Kustošija announced they have secured the youngster’s services.

Wiw Sport relay that and report Manchester United were keen on signing him. They were said to be working on administrative procedures to finalise his arrival.

Be Sport Academy deny having sold the Senegal U18 international to the Croatian club.

Africa Foot contacted with the Senegalese club’s communications officer, Rassoul Diagne, for an update. He made it clear Dabo is still their player.

“There has been manipulation between the young player and the club. Mouhamed is currently a Be Sport Academy player. He hasn’t signed with Kustošija. The player hasn’t approved the collaboration regarding the official transfer with the Croatian club,” he said.

The outlet’s states the ‘English giants are ready to take action’. Manchester United and Chelsea are mentioned.

Chelsea have renewed their interest and are trying to finalise the deal. Another report from Wiw Sport relays a statement from Be Sport Academy. This should come as an encouragement for the Premier League duo.

‘Contrary to information circulating on a foreign club’s account and widely shared, Mouhamed Dabo is still a Be Sport Academy player and remains available for transfer,’ a statement read.
