Welcome to a series focusing specifically on the talented schoolboys at Arsenal who are currently at Hale End – those in the U16s and below. The academy is based in E17, Walthamstow. The fifth article is on Mishel Nduka.
Mishel Nduka only joined Arsenal’s academy from Charlton Athletic in late September but he has already made quite an impact at Hale End.
The skilful midfielder has quickly established himself as a key figure in Arsenal’s U16 team and has also trained with the U19s.
Nduka has demonstrated his goalscoring ability, hitting a hat-trick as Arsenal U16s secured a 5-2 win against Norwich in the Premier League Cup.
In a 7-1 win against Swansea he scored and also provided three assists.
Nduka was also on target twice against Stoke and got the winner against Crystal Palace, with the expectation being that he will make his debut for the U18s in the near future.
The youngster, who can operate in the number eight position or further forwards, plays with much confidence and is an impressive dribbler.
Arsenal’s scholarship intake for next season is shaping up to be very exciting and it seems like Nduka will be a prominent member of that group.
