Erling Haaland sends clear two-word message to Jack Grealish after his Everton winner

Erling Haaland has been keeping a very close eye on how Jack Grealish has been getting on at Everton.

The pair formed a strong relationship during their time together at Manchester City, before Grealish joined the Blues on loan.

Everton climbed into the top half of the table following the three points which the 30-year-old secured through his late goal.

It was a big improvement from the performance at the weekend, with Grealish’s experience shining through to clinch the win towards the end.

David Moyes was absolutely delighted with Grealish’s display as the winger doubled his tally for the campaign.

The 62-year-old Everton manager was not alone, with Haaland also chiming in with his thoughts on Grealish’s latest display.

Taking to Snapchat after his own game, Haaland issued a clear message as he maintains his watching eye over Grealish’s loan move.

Posting an image of Grealish from the Manchester City coach, Haaland captioned the post: ‘Certified bagsman’.

Ironically, the goal came just days after Moyes urged Grealish to score more frequently ahead of the game against Newcastle United.

His Manchester City teammate has had no issues in finding the back of the net this season and even scored against Everton twice in October.

Haaland has been a big supporter of Grealish since he made the move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, which should provide the 30-year-old even more confidence ahead of Saturday’s game.

Everton are going to need more from Jack Grealish

Tuesday night’s goal was much-needed for the Blues, with Thierno Barry still struggling to find the back of the net.

However, this has to be the start for Grealish as Iliman Ndiaye prepares to leave for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall played in a deeper midfield role against Bournemouth, which may hinder his recent run of goals.

Moyes has been pleased with the number of assists Grealish has provided, but the goals must also follow.
