Everything you need to know about player injuries and team selection issues as Chelsea prepare to play take on Leeds United in the Premier League...

Chelsea face Leeds United: Chelsea travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United in the Premier League on Wednesday evening. Kick-off is slated for 8.15pm.

Moises Caicedo to serve suspension: The Ecuadorian midfielder was sent off at the weekend against Arsenal for a late challenge above the ankle of Mikel Merino. As a result, he will miss matches against Leeds, Bournemouth and Everton.

Dario Essugo reintegrated: While Dario Essugo is back training with Chelsea, Enzo Maresca has confirmed that he will miss Wednesday's game with Leeds. The head coach said: "Dario, he was okay, started some sessions with us, but he needs to slow down a little bit and will be out, but we hope nothing important."

Romeo Lavia some way away: Elsewhere, Romeo Lavia still remains a little way away from full recovery from a thigh injury sustained in September. Maresca said of the midfielder: "Romeo is still trying to recover."

Levi Colwill not expected to play this season: Levi Colwill has failed to appear for the Blues this season as a result of sustaining an ACL injury during pre-season. The centre-half is not expected to return until midway through the new year. Read the full story here.

Expected changes: As a result of missing Caicedo, Maresca could be forced to deploy Andrey Santos in his engine room. However, the Brazilian talent has only started thrice in the Premier League for the club this season, and may not be up to speed with the rest of the team. Reece James could also be utilised as a replacement for Caicedo, but Maresca may opt against playing him twice in the space of four days given his own injury history.

Next up for Chelsea: After Wednesday evening's clash with Leeds United, the Blues are set to travel to the Vitality Stadium to take on Bournemouth on Saturday, December 6. A Champions League battle away with Atalanta then lands on Tuesday, December 9, before Maresca's side return to the English top flight on Saturday, December 13 to play Everton at Stamford Bridge.
