Barcelona midfielder sends message to fans after injury blow – ‘It ain’t gonna stop me’

At a time when he was looking like the real deal for Barcelona, the football gods have once again cursed Dani Olmo.

The former RB Leipzig playmaker has picked up a fresh injury, which will keep him out on the sidelines for at least a month.

This is a major blow for Barcelona, but even more so for Olmo, whose return to Catalonia has been marred by a series of untimely injuries.

The frequency of these injuries is enough to demotivate any professional footballer. But Olmo is not ready to give up just yet.

Dani Olmo’s message to fans

After the confirmation of his injury, Olmo shared a message to his fans and teammates through social media.

The Spanish international thanked his fans and stated that the injury won’t stop him from fighting for the team.

It ain’t gonna stop me.

Gràcies pel vostre suport, culers. Petita pedra que em farà més fort encara. Les ganes i la il·lusió continuen intactes. Seguim tots junts en aquest darrer tram d’any. Força Barça 💙❤️ pic.twitter.com/3yiyh7Ptd7

“It ain’t gonna stop me. Thanks for your support, Culers . A small stone that will make me even stronger. The desire and the excitement remain intact. We continue all together in this final stretch of the year. Força Barça!” he wrote on X.

While it is clear that Olmo is devastated by the injury, the Spaniard remains mentally strong and will be ready to play for Barcelona as soon as he returns to full fitness.

For now, unfortunately, the former RB Leipzig star is set to miss a set of crucial matches for Barcelona, including the upcoming Champions League home game against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Having played in the Bundesliga for many years, Olmo’s expertise and experience of playing against Frankfurt could have been useful for Barcelona.

But as things stand, Olmo will not play again for the remainder of the year and look to return to full fitness by early January.
