The Blues are six points behind Arsenal, and will be looking to close the gap again on Manchester City after their thrilling 5-4 win against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night.
Enzo Maresca will be without Moises Caicedo after he picked up his first red card in club football against Arsenal, with him now suspended for three games.
Andrey Santos is likely to come in, however the boss will be cautious of too much rotation costing his side against a manager who is fighting for his job in Daniel Farke.

The Italian will also be wary that Elland Road has not been a happy hunting ground for the Blues throughout history. The last meeting there ended 3-0 to the opponents, and was one of the final games of Thomas Tuchel’s reign.
As per The Analyst, Chelsea only actually have six wins in 48 league games away from home in this fixture, with it being their second worst away ground after Sheffield Wednesday’s Hillsborough.
This included a run between 1930 and 1988 when they only picked up two wins at Elland Road.
Times are very different now in West London to how they were in the past, however Leeds fans are certainly going to be up for getting one over their old rivals again on Wednesday night.

Despite news that Reece James is likely not to start, and Caicedo is unavailable for selection, there is some more positive news for the Blues ahead of this game.
Cole Palmer is set to return in some capacity, after being an unused substitute against Arsenal.
The fact that Chelsea had 10 men meant that it was not the ideal circumstances to reintroduce their star man.
Chelsea fans have been told not to expect him to be thrown straight into 90 minute appearances, but his presence alone will bring a great boost to his teammates.
