Arsenal XI vs Brentford: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League today

Arsenal host Brentford at Emirates Stadium

Martin Odegaard tonight makes his first start in two months as Arsenal host Brentford, while Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze are benched.

Odegaard injured his knee at the start of October and he has now returned to action, but only as a substitute. The midfielder has come off the bench in Arsenal’s last two games against Bayern Munich and Chelsea, getting 42 minutes under his belt. Odegaard now starts as the Gunners take on Brentford at Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal come into the match off the back of three huge games, with the last of those at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Mikel Arteta therefore makes changes to his side, although he is short of options in the heart of defence.

Gabriel is out with a thigh injury, while William Saliba is struggling with the knock that forced him to miss the Chelsea game.

Leandro Trossard was also a doubt for the Brentford match due to a calf injury sustained in last week’s win over Bayern Munich. and misses out.

Gabriel Martinelli and Noni Madueke come onto the flanks, with Saka and Eze on the bench.

Viktor Gyokeres is back in action and returned off the bench last weekend following a hamstring strain. The Swede remains on the bench as Mikel Merino has performed well in his absence and keeps his place.
