Everton show their class with new flag to be unveiled before Nottingham Forest

Everton return to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday where they will face Nottingham Forest.

A familiar face will also be on display as Sean Dyche makes his first return to the club following his sacking at the start of the year.

David Moyes relieved some of the pressure on Tuesday evening with an impressive win on the road against Bournemouth.

However, Everton are now into their December fixtures, which are certainly going to test the squad depth on Merseyside.

Jack Grealish praised the Everton fans following their victory against the Cherries as he celebrated with the travelling fans.

Ahead of the game on Saturday, it has now been revealed the special flag that will be waved at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Andy Burnham has waxed lyrical about the Hill Dickinson atmosphere and stated how it’s far better than that at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Fans will be hoping for a much better outcome than what they were dished up in their last visit to the docks.

Owen McVeigh’s was a Liverpool supporter who has since passed away, but his father was invited to the new Everton stadium to witness the flag unveil.

The flag will represent the fantastic work done on Merseyside and support shown by The 1878s and the club towards foundations like this.

Everton unveiled their Gary Speed memorial bench at the weekend ahead of the game against Newcastle United.

It is a huge positive to see that, despite moving to this new stadium, the club have not forgotten their roots in the community.

Everton need to avoid another home defeat

The Toffees have only lost two of their opening home games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but they have certainly done so in style.

Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle put a combined seven goals past the Toffees, which will need to be avoided as Dyche makes his return to town.

If players like Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall can perform like they did on Tuesday, then it will be made extremely difficult for Forest to take anything from the game.

Just look what it means! Using only emojis, how would you rate the signing of Dewsbury-Hall?

“That’s how you bounce back!” 🤝

Dyche led Forest to a convincing win at Anfield just the other week, which allowed Everton to temporarily leapfrog their city rivals.

However, Everton fans will not want to see the 54-year-old depart Merseyside with anything to show for what will be his first return to Everton since being sacked.
