Carlos Alcaraz is enjoying the final stretch of his vacation in Miami. World no. 1 enjoyed the NBA, MLS and NFL action before stepping onto the court himself against Frances Tiafoe in New Jersey on December 7.

The next night, Carlos and Joao Fonseca will battle in Miami. After that, the 22-year-old will travel home and set his mind on the demanding block of work that will shape the start of his 2026 campaign.

The six-time Major champion will start the physical preparations for the new season on December 13. Four days later, he will step back onto the court fo his first off-season sessions.

Apparently, there has been a change of plans.

As in 2023, Flavio Cobolli will join him at the Ferrero Tennis Academy. Two good friends enjoyed their practice sessions two years ago, while they had to cancel last year's plans due to Flavio's shoulder issue.

The Italian will arrive in Villena with a massive boost, enjoying his career-best season and crowning it with three singles victories at the Davis Cup Finals in Bologna, helping his country win the third straight title.

Alcaraz will throw everything at the upcoming Australian Open in January, targeting a Career Grand Slam at 22 and hoping to pass Rafael Nadal and become the youngest player with that ultimate honor.

The Spaniard enjoyed a stellar ride in 2025, lifting eight ATP trophies and defending the ATP throne from Jannik Sinner. Carlos rattled off nine finals between Monte Carlo and Tokyo, conquering seven titles.

It was enough to keep him in front of the Italian, with the Spaniard securing his second year-end no. 1 honor following four ATP Finals victories and a place in the title clash.
