The NBA world was rocked by reports that Giannis Antetokounmpo has already asked for a trade. The Milwaukee Bucks have an abysmal 10-13 record, and speculation was mounting about an exit. However, it seems that Giannis has wanted out since before the season began.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst was the man reporting that Giannis had already wanted to leave before the season began. The team remains adamant, though, that no such conversations have been held with their superstar. And head coach Doc Rivers made that abundantly clear with his comments.

Doc Rivers on the latest Giannis Antetokounmpo report:
"Giannis has never asked to be traded. Ever. I can't make that more clear.

“So here we go again. There have been no conversations,” Rivers told the media. “I want to make it clear, I would say one more time, but for the 50th time… Giannis has never asked to be traded, ever. I can’t make that more clear.”
Antetokounmpo reaffirmed his commitment to the Bucks over the offseason, but that can change pretty quickly. Giannis has made it clear that what he cares about more than anything is winning. And at the moment, Milwaukee really doesn’t seem like the place where that’s going to happen.

The Bucks are the 10th seed in a weak Eastern Conference. If Giannis hasn’t asked out yet, it feels like only a matter of time until he does. The Greek Freak is still in his prime, playing at an MVP level, and championship contention will be the least of his expectations moving forward.
