Nottingham Forest beat Wolves 1-0 at Molineux as the Reds made it three wins out of four Premier League games.
This wasn’t a game that will feature prominently on Premier League Years in several years, but for Forest, it could prove to be a huge victory.
Igor Jesus scored his first Premier League goal of the campaign to take his tally to six in all competitions, and notching should do his confidence a world of good.
James Perch was once again on co-commentary duties at Molineux, and he was very impressed with the Forest striker during his 90-minute performance.

What James Perch liked about Igor Jesus’ performance
It was so fitting that Jesus finally bagged his first Premier League goal in the same game that he was so unfortunate to have another one disallowed.
In the 3-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield, he was robbed of a maiden top-flight goal when he was adjudged to have handled the ball, something which replays later denied.
Here, he pounced on a teasing delivery from Omari Hutchinson and nodded the Reds into a deserved lead after a period of pressure on the home side.

Perch was impressed and spotted something he noticed about the striker: He said on BBC Radio Nottingham: “Jesus is so good in the air for his height, he’ll jump up against the tallest of centre-backs. It’s a really strong trait of his.”

In the absence of Chris Wood, Jesus has been tasked with leading the Forest line, and he’s certainly been the player backed for that role by Sean Dyche.
Jesus has now rewarded that show of faith from his head coach by scoring his first Premier League goal and now he will hope there is more to come.

Wood will be back in a few weeks, and having healthy competition for places can only benefit the team going into the New Year, with the games coming thick and fast.
As Perch says, his aerial presence was just scintillating and now, it’s time for Jesus to put his foot to the metal and start scoring in the Premier League on a more consistent basis.
