Dortmund to open talks about Chelsea player

Bchelsea fc

orussia Dortmund plan to open talks with Chelsea to translate the loan move for Aar ón Anselmino into a permanent move.

The defender who is spending a season-long loan at the Bundesliga club, scored his first goal for them as they won away at Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend. The 20-year old Argentine moved to Stamford Bridge in 2024 after joining from Boca Juniors, although he was then sent immediately back to Argentina on loan.

He was subsequently recalled in January following injuries to several key defenders, and made his senior debut for Chelsea in the Club World Cup this summer.

His early Dortmund career was dogged by a muscular injury, but, since returning to fitness, he has become a fixture of the German side’s backline.

Anselmino was praised by Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca as a talented player, but if the offer is right, they are unlikely to stand in his way of playing regular first-team football with a top European club.
