'Back to where you belong' - Fuming Cundy has ruthless wish for Leeds after Chelsea defeat

Die-hard Chelsea fan Jason Cundy says he wants Leeds to suffer back-to-back relegations after the Blues' defeat at Elland Road.

A resurgent Leeds climbed out of the relegation zone and put an almighty dent in Chelsea's unlikely title dreams with a 3-1 win on Wednesday night.

The Blues - who had beaten Barcelona and drawn against Arsenal with ten men in their most recent two games - came crashing back down to earth with a dismal result to leave them fourth in the table.

talkSPORT co-host Cundy, famous for his 'Has Anyone Seen' opener, was conspicuous by his absence on Wednesday night's Sports Bar as Dean Saunders joined Jamie O'Hara.

However, the Blues commentator phoned in to have his say on the result.

"Let me say this," Cundy began. "Leeds weren't great. We were absolutely terrible.

"I've watched Leeds this season, I've seen them right. I've seen them against Spurs first half, against Villa first half, they're good.

"Not tonight, they just played a three at the back, five midfield, pressed us without pressing us. We were shocking."

Leeds outfought Chelsea early on and raced into a two-goal lead before the visitors pulled one back shortly after half-time.

However, the Blues' shambolic performance was typified by the third goal they conceded.

A calamitous mix-up at the back between Tosin Adarabioyo and Robert Sanchez gifted Dominic Calvert-Lewin a goal out of nothing.

And Cundy was left fuming after Leeds manager Daniel Farke hailed his side for scoring three 'great' goals.

He added: "I heard Farke's interview. What's he talking about? Three great goals? Did he not see the third goal?

"He's a man on borrowed time. Do you know what? I hope Leeds get relegated.

"Seriously, I hope Leeds get relegated. And get relegated again and get back to where they belong in League One.

"Marching on together? You lot march back, back to League One where you lot belong. Right? I've had enough."

Cundy's rant, along with the ferocious atmosphere at Elland Road on Wednesday night, is symptomatic of a famous rivalry that exists between Chelsea and Leeds, dating all the way back to 1970.

The two clubs were famously involved in what many consider to be the most brutal game in English football history: the 1970 FA Cup final replay.

Michael Oliver recently re-refereed the game and decided that 11 red cards should have been shown.

On the day, only one player was cautioned as Chelsea lifted the trophy.
