Welcome to the world of LeBron James, Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo!
Giannis' latest right calf injury has ignited trade rumors for the Milwaukee Bucks superstar. One former Los Angeles Lakers champion thinks that the two-time NBA MVP should join the star-studded Lakers, who are already equipped with All-Stars like Doncic and LeBron.
Former Lakers center Dwight Howard asks the Bucks forward to take it easy with his injury so that he can return for the Lakers, suggesting that he wants the Bucks star to ask out and land with the Lakers.
"Aye Giannis donโt go trying to play on that calf strain just take your time and get back right Lake Show need you !" Howard wrote on X.

If Giannis Antetokounmpo indeed gets traded to the Lakers, it will be the biggest move the league has ever seen. With Antetokounmpo protecting the paint and receiving lobs from Luka Doncic, and LeBron James bringing his championship experience, it will be a class team.
However, such teams don't always turn out to be successful as there is only one ball and all three of them need to share, which sometimes doesn't result in favorable outcomes, as we saw with the Brooklyn Nets, when they were able to bring KD, Kyrie Irving and James Harden all on the same team.
What would it take for Lakers to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo from Bucks?
Ever since the Bucks waived Damian Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo has been constantly tabbed as unhappy and wanting to move out. The trade rumors suggest as much. If the Bucks really start chatting with other GMs for a trade involving Giannis, there will be many suitors.
As for the Lakers, if they want to get their hands on the 'Greek Freak,' they might have to sacrifice a lot while also facing a luxury tax penalty since the Bucks forward earns roughly $54-62 million per season under his current contract.
Thus, realistically, the Lakers might have to include multiple players and future draft picks. The likes of Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves might also need to be part of that trade.
As such, it is quite far-fetched for such a move to happen, but in a world where the Lakers were able to steal Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks, anything can happen.
