Player can’t escape miserable Everton spell – Latest move a complete disaster

Jesper Lindstrom is unlikely to ever make any lists of Everton’s successful transfers. And the same can be now said of Wolfsburg too.

That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb. They report that Lindstrom is looking extremely likely to be sent back to Napoli by the German side.

They say Lindstrom is perhaps ‘the most incredible flop’ in Napoli’s history. He hasn’t had any luck over the last three years, with injuries and technical decisions harming him.

He was once on the rise after an impressing at Eintracht Frankfurt but has been sliding down ever since. First there was a ‘terrible’ year at Napoli, then a ‘so-so’ one on loan at Everton last season.

He barely featured there either, first failing to convince Sean Dyche before injury ended his chances under David Moyes. The move to Goodison Park was supposed to reignite his career, but it didn’t.

Now he finds himself at Wolfsburg, where he’s managed just one minute in the Bundesliga to date. He’s either been out through a lack of fitness or from adductor pain.

The loan deal includes an option to buy but that’s unlikely to be used. Instead, it’s not out of the question that he could end his experience early, perhaps via a mutual agreement with Napoli.

That would be a continuation of a miserable three years for the winger, who so far has failed at Napoli, Everton and now Wolfsburg.
