Daniel Farke proves what Elland Road is about for Leeds United with intense performance
To get over the line this season, the bulk of Leeds’ points are going to come on home turf. Evidence of that came last night.
Chelsea were made to suffer from very early against Leeds as Jaka Bijol towered home a superb header after just six minutes. Then, some more high pressing forced an error from Enzo Fernandez, as Jayden Bogle fed Ao Tanaka for a storming strike for 2-0.

Pedro Neto had Leeds nerves twitching when he pulled a goal back just after half-time. But, Dominic Calvert-Lewin tapped in the clincher for Leeds after some fine pressing from Noah Okafor to force errors at the back. Deja vu for Chelsea’s back line at Elland Road.
Throughout the game, the atmosphere was completely rocking and it fed into how Leeds approached the match with aggression and the intensity that Chelsea simply couldn’t live with.
Leeds United surely eyeing another shock as Liverpool clash nears on Saturday
Attention swiftly turns to the weekend for Leeds. Up next is another home clash, this time against Liverpool.
Another huge club with quality throughout their squad, but another that might be feeling the effects of a hectic Premier League and Champions League schedule. A trip to Inter Milan is one for Arne Slot to consider with his squad, knowing that they will intend to rise from 13th in the UCL table.
For now, though, Slot has huge issues with his side’s performance levels. At home to Sunderland, they were fortunate to come away with a point. The Black Cats hit the woodwork twice and Wilson Isidor squandered a stoppage time 1v1 to win it.

The Reds have lost nine of their last 14. They were dubbed “lacklustre” in their efforts on Wednesday night. Both developments should have Leeds on alert for another scalp.
A swift turnaround and a rampant Elland Road is the last thing Slot needs right now. And, in the mood Leeds have been showing in the last one-and-a-half games, they should fancy it. Big time.
