Bayern Munich quite recently signed on Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea, in a move that was dramatic from beginning until the very end, but was it worth it? Now we have some kind of a hint.
Through a report captured by @iMiaSanMia, originally from Fabrizio Romano, fans get now get sort of an insight into what Jackson’s future might look like. According to the report, Bayern Munich are quite happy with the Senegalese international and his performances in the club colors. The current season is going very well for Bayern (aside from that one hiccup at the hands of Arsenal), and it seems that Jackson is an important part of that success. However, the report says that they want to wait just a bit more before they make a major decision regarding his future at Säbener Straße.
At the end of this season, when his loan to Bayern is expected to terminate, the club will make an executive decision and assess whether or not they should purchase Jackson permanently. As it goes with these cases, the club will not only have to consider a fair price for the striker and negotiate with an angry Chelsea, but also a contract with Jackson that will reflect his real role in the squad (behind Harry Kane on the depth chart, most certainly). Per the report, the only thing that is known for sure right now is that Jackson will not be returning to Chelsea. His relationship with the club deteriorated, quite violently, during the saga that was his transfer journey, so no one really expects that to happen anyway. So, he will either be returning to Bayern on a more permanent basis, or will have to find another home elsewhere.
What do you think? Does Jackson deserve a permanent spot on Bayern’s roster? Or should they look for someone else? Let us know in the comments!
