Manchester United saw their top-four charge dampened with a frustrating 1-1 draw vs West Ham at Old Trafford. Diogo Dalot opened the scoring for Ruben Amorim's side on Thursday night, before Soungoutou Magassa replied for the struggling west Londoners to earn them a share of the spoils.

United were dealt an unfortunate injury blow in the build-up to facing West Ham as centre-back Matthijs de Ligt was ruled out. The former Ajax and Bayern Munich man was among three changes to the starting XI pre-match as Noussair Mazraoui, Ayden Heaven and Luke Shaw lined-up in defence in De Ligt's absence.

That unfamiliar defensive unit coped well for the most part against their relegation-threatened visitors. However, after Dalot powered home the opener on 58 minutes, Magassa conjured up an 83rd-minute leveller.

Here, we look at United's next five fixtures compared to their main top-four rivals;

8th: Man Utd's next five Premier League fixtures

Monday, December 8 vs Wolves (A) at 8pm

Monday, December 15 vs Bournemouth (H) at 8pm

Sunday, December 21 vs Aston Villa (A) at 4.30pm

Friday, December 26 vs Newcastle (H) at 8pm

Tuesday, December 30 vs Wolves (H) at 8.15pm

The verdict: There are opportunities for United to add to their points tally here and they ought to be looking at a maximum six-point haul from their two meetings against rock-bottom Wolves inside just over three weeks. It will - likely - be much tougher for Amorim's side against Bournemouth and Newcastle at Old Trafford, while a trip to Villa Park is clearly the most difficult challenge on the horizon, at least on paper.

4th: Chelsea's next five Premier League fixtures

Saturday, December 6 vs Bournemouth (A) at 3pm

Saturday, December 13 vs Everton (H) at 3pm

Saturday, December 20 vs Newcastle (A) at 12.30pm

Saturday, December 27 vs Aston Villa (H) at 5.30pm
