Murillo absent from Nottingham Forest training ahead of Everton clash

Sean Dyche has confirmed that Nottingham Forest defender Murillo has not trained and remains a major doubt for the Reds' Premier League game against Everton on Saturday.

Forest travel to the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time, but are set to be without Brazilian defender Murillo, who Dyche confirmed is suffering from illness.

Murillo has missed Forest's last two games, having initially suffered a tight hamstring in the Reds' 3-0 win over Malmö last week.

While the hamstring concern is now gone, illness has extended the 23-year-old's spell on the sidelines, and looks set to keep him out of action this weekend, barring a major late change.

“He had a slight hamstring issue that we made a judgement call on [against Brighton]," Dyche reiterated.

"Then he was ill, felt a bit better, came back into training, but now he’s ill again.

“So we’ve had to just back off and stop everyone from shaking hands and all the usual stuff that was, one upon a time, part of our lives.

“You don’t want to spread anything, because you never know with illness, especially at this time of the year, so we’re just trying to do the common-sense thing.

“I hope he recovers quickly, but he wasn’t in training today, but it is just illness, so I’m hopeful it will pass quickly.”

Morato does not lack confidence

Fellow Brazilian Morato has deputised for Murillo during his lay-off, and, despite being at fault for Brighton's second goal at the weekend, offered an assured showing in the win over Wolves.

While his strong showing at Molineux came as a relief to some, Dyche has insisted that the 24-year-old did not need a confidence boost.

"I don't think he lacks confidence," Dyche insisted. "A mistake happens, we've all done it, I've certainly done it, that's the way it goes.

"I didn't mention it to him; it's gone. I thought he gave a good performance last night."
