Offensive coordinator Joe Sloan

Sloan helped propel LSU to have the No. 2 ranked passing offense in 2024 before the program underperformed, faced injuries in key positions and, ultimately, fired head coach Brian Kelly during the season in 2025.

Prior to being the offensive coordinator for the Tigers, Sloan was LSU's quarterback coach, working with Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels during his Heisman Trophy winning season. On top of that, Sloan recruited Kentucky quarterback Cutter Boley whilst at LSU.

Hailing out of Chester, Virginia, Sloan played collegiate football as a QB for East Carolina until 2008.

In 2010 he would join the coaching ranks, joining USF as a quality control coach before becoming a graduate assistant with the Bulls.

Sloan would then make a move to the Bayou State, joining Louisiana Tech in Ruston as a wide receivers coach.

One year later in 2014, Sloan would add recruiting coordinator to his list of titles before becoming assistant head coach in 2015.

In 2019, Sloan would become quarterback coach and co-Offensive Coordinator for the Bulldogs before earning the full-time OC gig until 2021 when he joined Kelly's staff at LSU as a quarterback coach.

In Baton Rouge, Sloan would eventually move up to OC as well before being dismissed on Oct. 27, 2025, immediately following Kelly's termination.
