On Monday, James was able to keep his streak of 1,297 straight games with 10 or more points scored after finishing the Lakers' 125-108 loss to the Phoenix Suns with 10 points. He hit the mark on a three-pointer at the 6:51 mark of the fourth quarter.
This streak is the longest of any other player in NBA history by a landslide. The life of the record came down to the final minutes on Friday.

LeBron James struggled to shoot in the Lakers' 123-120 win over the Toronto Raptors. Playing in 36 minutes, James finished with eight points while shooting 4-of-17 from the field, adding five rebounds and 10 assists.
After 1,297 straight games of achieving the 10 or more points mark, the streak has finally shut its door. It might never be broken, given the longevity of James' career.
To put the record into perspective, the player who's second in this category is Michael Jordan, who had 866 consecutive games of scoring 10 or more points. With James' being 1,297, he has over 400 more games to achieve the feat.
Nothing says that it's impossible to beat it. They always say that records are made to be broken, but it will have to take someone who's at a crazy level of consistency to make a run for the new record.
