Hill Dickinson Stadium trial set to take place following Everton vs Nottingham Forest

The Hill Dickinson Stadium has already experienced its early struggles when it comes to Everton fans getting home after the games.

It has been one of the few negatives to come from the new Everton stadium in the early months since its opening.

David Moyes will be looking to make it back-to-back victories in the Premier League again when Nottingham Forest visit Merseyside.

The game will mark the return of Sean Dyche for the very first time since he was sacked by The Friedkin Group back in January.

Dyche will get a taste of the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the very first time, but fans will be hoping he’s sent home disappointed.

Everton fans have experienced transport issues leaving the stadium, but a new trial is set to take place on Saturday to hopefully improve matters.

Everton to trial new Hill Dickinson Stadium system after Nottingham Forest clash

In recent weeks, Liverpool City Council have held Hill Dickinson Stadium meetings in a bid to improve the infrastructure around the area.

The transport links have proven to be the biggest issue for fans attending games at the state-of-the-art home of the Blues.

‘A Traffic Management Trial will again be in place following Saturday’s game, which involves a temporary one-way system in place on Blackstone Street and Boundary Street, and road closures, both before and after the game,’ the statement read.

‘Fans are advised not to travel to the stadium by car, as these measures are in place to ensure those leaving the ground can move away from the area quickly and safely. Our Travel Hub, which also features in the guide, above, includes all relevant information and alternative travel options.’

Everton have big plans for the Hill Dickinson Stadium for the coming weeks, with various fan engagement events set to take place.

And it is a big boost to see that there is actually work going on to try and improve the matchday experience in ironing out the transportation issues.

Everton will need to make Hill Dickinson Stadium loud vs Forest

Questions are being asked ahead of Dyche’s return as to what kind of reception the former Everton boss will receive.

Dyche is hoping he gets a positive reception from Everton fans on Saturday afternoon.

What type of reception does Sean Dyche deserve on Saturday? 🤐

“The Toffees are a strong bunch in many ways, it may be good, bad or indifferent [the reaction he gets], but they know deep down the work that we did.

“I know there is plenty of them because they all came and told me.”

However, there will be no doubt that every single Toffee will be hoping to send him and his Forest side back to the City Ground without anything to show for their visit.

Clearly, it was the right decision for both parties to part ways back in January, but Dyche did do a lot for the club whilst he was on Merseyside.

Almost a full year on, hopefully most fans have had the opportunity to reflect on the work he was able to produce on limited resources.
