Eberechi Eze awarded the Goal of the Month for October following his breathtaking stunner strike against Crystal Palace. After moving from one London club to another, Arsenal midfielder Eze nabbed the award for a goal that was superbly constructed technically with an emotionally charged twist.
A Moment of Magic at the Emirates
The decisive moment came in the 39th minute of a tightly contested affair at the Emirates Stadium. With the deadlock unbroken, a deflected cross looped high into the penalty area. While most players would have attempted to bring the ball down, Eze adjusted his body shape in a split second. This showcasing his immense athleticism. He executed a perfect scissor kick, sending the ball rocketing past Dean Henderson into the top corner. He hit the ball in an extremely low manner, but was still able to generate the energy necessary to score successfully. It was evident to see why Arsenal had spent such a large amount of money to acquire him.

Respect Over Celebration
What followed the goal was just as notable as the strike itself. Despite the eruption of noise from the home faithful, Eze remained visibly composed. He refused to celebrate, raising his hands in an apology to the traveling Palace fans. A gesture acknowledging the five years he spent developing into a star at Selhurst Park.
“It was a weird feeling,” Eze admitted in his post-match interview. “As soon as it left my boot, I knew it was in, but the respect I have for Palace will always be there. I’m just happy to help this team win.
Cementing His Place
As Eze continues to be integrated into the side under Mikel Arteta, the player adds another element of stunner to the way Arsenal approaches its attacking play. Eze has added something completely unique to the club’s list of options going forward and this goal earns him additional recognition as he has transitioned from being a promising prospect to being a true Game-Changer in the Premier League.
