After joining up with England and Germany respectively for the recent international break, both players returned to the club during the pause in domestic action after sustaining small issues.

The Lionesses confirmed goalkeeper Keating withdrew from the squad ahead of matches with China and Ghana and Lohmann missed out on the Nations League final double header with Germany.

During his pre-Leicester press conference on Friday, Jeglertz explained how the pair will be monitored by club medical staff as their recovery processes continue.

He said:  “Unfortunately they got some muscle injuries.

“They will not be able to participate in this coming game. We’ll see how it is next week.”

Jeglertz also provided an update on Lily Murphy, Kerolin and Alex Greenwood’s fitness when fielding questions from the media.

Winger Murphy has been sidelined since our opening day defeat to Chelsea and Brazilian forward Kerolin hasn’t featured since our victory at Tottenham in September.

Meanwhile City’s captain has been absent following England’s win over Australia in October.

And the Swede revealed that Murphy and Kerolin will be available for selection for the Foxes clash after their involvement in full training across the past week.

But Jeglertz says the trip to the King Power Stadium will come too soon for Greenwood who is making strong progress.

He added: “Both Kerolin and Lily Murphy have trained fully this week, both of them are able to be part of the squad again.

“I’m really happy for that. Alex is also moving forward, she’s not there yet which we expected but her progress is going forward. Hopefully she’ll take big steps int he coming weeks.

“Just looking at the squad the last weeks and adding these two players [Murphy and Kerolin] with their qualities will of course give us more options.

“It also makes training more competitive because there are more players challenging each other and the tempo becomes higher.

“[These are] only positive things.”
